OraBiologics: How Our New Platform Came To Be - Who We Are and Why We Are Here

In June 2024, I stepped in to lead a Facebook group called Holistic Health & Biological Dentistry, which had roughly 6,000 members at the time. The previous admin was burned out, and understandably so. I volunteered to take over the page because people needed support I knew I could provide, given my years of experience, my commitment to continuing education, and my natural approach to health. My passion in Biologic Dentistry has always been to educate people. The lack of accurate information accessible to the public, in conjunction with the confusing terms – which are not regulated – that practitioners use, make it very difficult for people to make informed decisions about their dental and medical care.

Today, the group is closing in on 40,000 members — a clear sign that people are searching for answers, for safety, and for real Biologic Dentistry. However, due to the sheer size of the group and the volume of questions, it became clear that the Facebook forum would not allow me to meet the need or accomplish what I had originally set out to do – educate people. I was spending 8-10 hours every day answering questions — often including weekends. While I love teaching and helping, the pace became unsustainable.

So, in October 2025, after much consideration and consultation with a few trusted colleagues (Kim Blaise, Melissa Flynn, and Bria Clark), we finally launched OraBiologics.  While working clinically, we can help only  24-30 patients per week. However, spending the same amount of time on this platform, we can help thousands. Because we believe so strongly in this platform, we decided the tradeoff was worth it and figured out a way to make the platform pay for itself and still keep it free for the consumer, despite the fact that we are essentially working two full-time jobs, in order to serve this community in a way that is responsible, sustainable, and aligned with our values.

I know this transition feels big to many of you. People are used to posting x-rays, asking questions freely, and receiving guidance in real time. However, we truly believe that this extension of the Facebook group is the most feasible option to best serve the variety of needs you all have. The Facebook group will continue to function… (moderators, admin, etc.), but this page will allow us to interact with you more efficiently, on an individualized basis, and focus on giving more thorough, appropriate recommendations.

Furthermore, because Meta collects and tracks everything on its site, the Facebook page raises privacy concerns. Many of you willingly post your dental history, medical issues, x-rays, and deeply personal concerns in a public forum because you’re desperate for answers. OraBiologics is a way for people to receive help without exposing their private health information to a corporation that thrives on data extraction. And we’ve designed an affordable structure that keeps the platform sustainable for the team of us who built it. https://www.orabiologics.com/pricing-plans/list

We are so grateful to all of you who have followed the page and have trusted us with your dentistry needs.   We are still here for you, just in a different capacity. We hope you continue to support us in this new phase of our journey. Were it not for you, OraBiologics would not be here!

MY HISTORY — AND WHY IT MATTERS

It is important that you understand the history that brought me here, because it explains why these changes are happening now. While I’ve practiced dentistry for over 30 years, I've practiced Biological Dentistry only since 2012. When I practiced conventionally, I had no idea how much I was hurting my patients (or myself) — unintentionally, but consistently. Dentistry has used toxic materials for as long as the profession has existed, and thus, people have been harmed by them for just as long.

For me, everything shifted after my youngest daughter was born in 2009. She was allergic to every commercial baby formula on the market, so I began researching homemade formulas. That research led me straight to Weston A. Price — the father of biological dentistry. The more I learned, the more undeniable it became: mercury fillings, fluoride, root canals, and many common dental materials weren’t just unhelpful – they were actively causing harm. That realization left me with only two choices: walk away from dentistry entirely, or, find a way to practice that aligned with my new values. And I loved my chosen career far too much to walk away…

During this same time, my own health was collapsing. I started questioning if the cause was due to the mercury and other toxins I myself had been exposed to all those years. In 2012, I went to an IABDM conference where a man by the name of Bill Henderson, who authored books about natural cancer cures, spoke about his wife who had died from breast cancer and his son, a dentist, who had died from mercury toxicity. That sealed it for me. That was my breaking point – not only was I unintentionally causing harm to others, but I was also unintentionally causing harm to my own body. That’s when I made the decision that changed the course of my life – I found a way to marry what I did, with what I now believed, and I became a Biological Dentist…because it was the only way I could practice with integrity.

In 2015, I was diagnosed with stage 4B endometrial cancer. Little did I know three years earlier when I made the decision to become a Biologic Dentist, and also purchased Bill Henderson’s book, that those decisions would have saved my life. Had I stayed a conventional dentist, never expanding my knowledge about Biologic Dentistry and holistic health, or never read Bill’s book, I would have accepted chemotherapy as treatment for my cancer diagnosis — and I most certainly would have died. Instead, I chose natural methods, which undoubtedly saved my life.  Because I was given a second chance at life, I promised to give back as much as I could.

The Integrity Gap in Biologic Dentistry - or The Commercial Exploitation in Biologic Dentistry

I absolutely LOVE what I do! I am excellent at it – and equally important, I am passionate about it. My shift into Biological Dentistry was never selfishly motivated. It was made so that I could provide safer care and guidance to my existing patients, and anyone else who wished to benefit from my expertise. All of the work I have done outside my clinical practice has been without financial compensation – and I’ve been grateful to have been able to provide so many people with guidance and knowledge they may not have otherwise received.

Unfortunately, the rise in interest for biological dentistry has created a troubling pattern: rebranding without reform. Because Biologic Dentistry is more expensive due to the costs of education, equipment, and time spent with patients, most Biologic dentists do not take insurance. Many dentists are being guided by recruiting campaigns promise that “going Biological” is an easy path outside of insurance dependence – so they rebrand to charge higher prices without changing their practices at all. Some even go so far as to obtain certifications and "learning the language" of biological dentistry,  but still do not implement Biologic practices. Many of these dentists are still:

  • performing root canals,

  • using fluoride,

  • using incompatible materials

  • still placing titanium implants

  • following conventional protocols.

This not only creates confusion for consumers and, at times, causes real harm — it also undermines the entire profession as a whole. For those of us committed to practicing with integrity, this erosion of trust has serious consequences.
